Meet the InfoAge Team
David Allan, Wellington
David is probably the guy you will meet first, meeting with you over a coffee and seeing what we can do together. David will listen to you and discuss exactly what you are after and suggest options from his extensive experience over the past 20 years.
David graduated with a B.Com from Auckland University in 1994 and has a diverse background in the information technology industry. David has a unique blend of expertise and experience including client and project management, database and web technologies. David understands clients’ needs as well as technology, so can effectively ensure you end up with a quality system that meets your every need.
David designed and developed his first commercial Access databases in 1992 which managed nation-wide road marking certification, counselling management and waste sector systems. These databases are still in use on a daily basis today. In 1994 David began developing web sites for clients as well.
In the late 90's David worked as an Information System Improvement Consultant for Auckland City Council where he was responsible for identifying and reviewing business needs, managing projects and implementing databases systems (Access and SQL). David worked closely with staff developing user-friendly systems and with senior management to ensure the Strategic Information Management Plan was successfully implemented. In 2000 David setup InfoAge and business rapidly grew. The client base increased to over 100 in a few years and today we have over 300 clients. David employed staff to help with development and support.
The business has managed to consistently deliver an outstanding level of service while maintaining a small, effective team of committed professionals. This has been one of our successes as we are flexible and react fast to client's changing needs and urgent requirements. David had remained at the coalface working directly with clients to ensure an excellent service and quality product is delivered every time. Customer satisfaction is paramount to David.
In 2005 InfoAge setup a Wellington office to support the growing base of Wellington clients and in 2006 InfoAge relocated to Wellington. Systems were established to support Auckland clients from our new HQ and much of this is now done remotely. David continues working with diverse clients and successfully continues to grow the business with Government, Small Business, Corporate and Non-profit clients.
Customer satisfaction is still a key focus for David as it was way back in the early 90's. David's commitment to customers has always been No. 1 and brings much satisfaction to him. David enjoys seeing successful developments time after time and the joy and benefits they bring to clients. It is this that motivates him to remain so involved with the business. In his spare time (he has managed to cut back on working weekends these days) David enjoys everything Wellington has to offer and enjoys time with family, friends and a bit of travel where possible.
