- Check your connections. if something has recently stopped working, turn your computer off, unplug it, plug it back in and turn your computer back on.
- Keep your computer clean. Too much dust can cause a buildup on fans and overheating which causes a range of problems.
- if your Internet has stopped check your router connections, unplug it for 1 minute and plug it back it. The Internet may be down, wait 30 minutes and if it is still not working, call your Internet Service provider (Orcon, Xtra, IHUG etc).
- Check your anti-virus software is up to date and do a full scan. If you don't have any, do a free online virus scan (and then consider getting anti-virus software).
- If your computer is running slow, check your disk space on C drive and do a clean up removing unnecessary programs and files. Defragmnent your drives.
- reformatting and reinstalling Windows, it will run like new and eliminate all problems and sluggish behaviour. You need to be 200% sure you have backed up everything you need and know what you are doing.
