Web Site Hosting
We provide a full range of web site hosting and email services.
We deliver fast, reliable NZ web hosting to 95% of our web design clients including small business, non-profits and Government clients. We don't charge extra web hosting fees for additional emails, MySQL databases, additional pointed domains or sub domains, email forwarding etc like most other providers do, our price includes everything.
We have a 99.9% up time and services are based in New Zealand to provide extremely fast response times (unlike some other hosts servers that can be based overseas and perform sluggishly). Our hosting is managed by experts with a primary site in Lower Hutt and mirror servers in Auckland and Sydney for backup and reliability.
Our hosting includes everything you need for your web site, database and email. We can provide MySQL databases (free of charge) and Microsoft SQL databases and a complete range of email services.

[-] What platform or operating system (OS) is our site hosted on?
[-] What is SMTP?
[-] What is POP?
[-] Can I access my email through a web browser (Web Mail)?
[-] How do I get my email in Outlook?
Setting up Email software to get your email
You can use any number of email software packages to send and
receive email.
In each application you will require the following
information:
- POP Server (pop3.infoage.co.nz)
- SMTP server (smtp.yourisp.co.nz)
- Username (Supplied by us e.g. Yourdom01)
- Password (Supplied by us)
Note: The SMTP server will be the SMTP server of your ISP. E.g.
smtp.xtra.co.nz, smtp.ihug.co.nz, smtp.orcon.net.nz, smtp.clear.net.nz
etc
Setting up Microsoft Outlook Express to check your email.
Click on the icon for Outlook Express, it is usually located
on your desktop.
Click on tools then accounts.
After the accounts window comes up select the mail tab, then
click the add button and select mail. You are going to add a
new mail account to Outlook.
At the first screen of the connection wizard you will be prompted
for the name you wish to be sent with your email, as in "Mary
Brown" <mary@yourdomain.co.nz>,
this is only the display of your name – not your actual email
address.
Click next after you have entered your display
name.
The next screen on the connection wizard is where you enter your
e-mail address.
Enter yourname@yourdomain.co.nz e.g. mary@yourdomain.co.nz.
After you have entered your email address click next to continue.
The next screen you are prompted to enter the POP3 and SMTP servers,
this is where you will download your mail from, it is also where
your email gets sent from.
Your POP (incoming mail server) is
pop3.infoage.co.nz.
The SMTP (outgoing mail server) is that of
your ISP, then click next to continue.
On the next screen you need to enter your username and password,
we provide you with these when your account is set up.
Enter
both the username and password for your account. Note you might
want to tick the "Save Password" box,
this saves you from having to enter your password each time you
check your mail.
Click finish.
[-] Can you filter SPAM from my email?
We use a SPAM filtering product called "Death to Spam" (D2S) for our hosted email clients. D2S is a New Zealand developed product and is enjoying a good reputation as one of the leading SPAM filtering products available. For clients with their own email server we can set you up with SMX Anti-Spam.
How does it work?
No changes to your mail client are required. Once the service is active on your Mailbox, messages will arrive in your Mailbox with a tag in front of the subject line, for example:
[spam] great sales ideas for busy people
[????] did you get my message?
[virus] great pictures to look at
Any messages that the filter has classified as being ok, will not have any tags.
The tags tell you straight away if the filter has identified a message as spam, or a virus, or in the case of the [????] tag, the filter has classified it as unsure.
How is it charged?
Active SPAM filtering is an optional service that you can add to a specific Mailbox on your Hosting Account, as such, it is charged on a "per Mailbox" basis.
SPAM filtering is $5 + GST per month, payable in advance for 12 months.

[-] How do I setup my own "404: File Not Found" Error Page?
